Edmar Lopes have grown organic coffee beans more than 15 years. In 2013, he started Natural Agriculture in a part of his farm to pursue his goal to live in harmony with nature.
High in the verdant hills above the town of Araponga in Minas Gerais, Brazil, the altitude is ideal for turning out classic mellow Arabica coffee beans. Here, in one of the richest coffee growing regions in the world, Edmar Lopes tends his coffee grove.
Committed to ecologically sound farming for more than a decade, the Lopes family never rush their plants or their award-winning coffee beans. The beans are picked only once they’ve reached harvest prime and are allowed to gently dry in the sun so they retain their remarkable natural coffee flavour.
