Riet Vell was created in 2001 to start an organic rice farming in Ebro Delta, Spain and work for a viable agriculture that would contribute to the conservation of threatened species and habitats in extremely valuable natural spaces such as wetlands or steppe areas.

[Zero inputs – beyond organic]

This organic rice has been cultivated in a dedicated rice field without the use of any chemicals, synthetic fertilisers, or animal manures, practicing zero-input farming for a period of eight years. Every year, we collected and preserved seeds for sowing in the following year.
