Riet Vell was created in 2001 to start an organic rice farming in Ebro Delta, Spain and work for a viable agriculture that would contribute to the conservation of threatened species and habitats in extremely valuable natural spaces such as wetlands or steppe areas.

This rice was grown without any inputs during the cultivation. They have not applied animal manures for several years in this field but they applied very small quantity of plant based soil improvement aid in 2021.
