It became really cold today. Especially, the wind was freezing cold. I don’t know why I forgot my scarf this morning.

When I visited Zakynthos island in Greece in October to see olive growers, it was hot like summer. The local people were saying it was unusual. One of the olive growers explained that warm weather in autumn and winter is not good for olives. I felt sorry because I was so happy for feeling the heat from the sun.

If the temperature does not go down below certain degrees, pests and some bacteria will survive over the winter and that will affect next year’s olive harvest.

Nature’s cycle is perfectly organised. I will appreciate the cold days in winter.
